800 golfers to play in FLC golf tournament next month
Over 800 golfers nationwide will compete at the golf tournament FLC Golf Championship 2016 at the 18-hole Golflinks course in Nhon Ly resort, Binh Dinh province, from September 3 - October 1.
Binh Dinh (VNA)ꦓ – Over 800 golfers nationwide will compete at the golf tournament FLC Golf Championship 2016 at the 18-hole Golflinks course in Nhon Ly resort in the south-central province of Binh Dinh from September 30-October 1.
The information was announced by representatives from the organising board – FLC Group, at a press conference on August 22.
This is the largest event of its kind with total prizes valuing at 60 billion VND (2.7 million USD).
Luu Duc Quang from FLC Group said the event is hoped to create a professional playing field for golfers, contributing to promoting local tourism and raising funds for charitable activities in Binh Dinh.
FLC Group has organised four events of this kind so far, beginning in 2012. The first event attracted the participation of 140 golfers, while those in 2013, 2014 and 2015 were attended by 200, 300 and 800 golfers, respectively.-VNA

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
Vietnam continues to sit just behind continental powerhouses Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, China, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
