Account receiving foreign money in Hanoi disturbance case frozen
The Ministry of Public Security on January 17 said that through its investigation into the disturbance case in Dong Tam commune, Hanoi’s suburban district of My Duc, authorities have found a number of domestic and foreign individuals and organisations provide money to rioters in the case.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Public Security onJanuary 17 said that through its investigation into the disturbance case inDong Tam commune, Hanoi’s suburban district of My Duc, authorities have found anumber of domestic and foreign individuals and organisations provide money torioters in the case.
Relevant authorities have frozen Account No. 0611001987139opened at the Vietcombank with the name of NGUYEN THUY HANH.
In service of the investigation into the case, including thefinancing of terrorism, the investigation bureau has asked domestic and foreigncredit organisations to coordinate in reviewing and freezing a number of relevantaccounts.
The ministry announced the information and asked domesticand foreign individuals and organisations to heighten their vigilance, to notsend money into the accounts of those who call for financial assistance, and toinform relevant authorities in a timely manner.
On January 9, while forces were performing their task ofensuring security and order for the building of protective walls of the MieuMon airport in Dong Tam commune, a number of rioters used grenades, petrol bombsand other weapons to attack them.
While arresting the especially dangerous rioters, threepolice officers were killed./.
The present security situation and social order in Dong Tam commune, Hanoi’s My Duc district, are basically stable, with local residents going about their daily activities normally, according to Chief of the Office and spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security Major General To An Xo.

Hanoi police on January 13 announced they have issued a decision to start legal procedures against 22 people in the disturbance case happening in Dong Tam commune, Hanoi’s suburban district of My Duc, on January 9.
The Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony on January 14 to call on the entire public security force to follow the example of bravery set by the three officers who died while performing their duty during the disturbance incident in Dong Tam commune, Hanoi’s My Duc district.
