HCM City (VNA) – The 8th International AdvertisingEquipment and Technology Exhibition (VietAd 2017) opened at the Phu Tho IndoorSport Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on August 3.

The four-day event, which was annually held by the Vietnam AdvertisingAssociation (VAA), drew the participation of nearly 100 businesses who have setup 300 booths to introduce advertising and display equipment, LED technology,advertising materials and gifts and label and package printing.

VietAd, the largest advertising event in Vietnam after eight years ofdevelopment, has become an effective trade channel for foreign and domesticadvertising enterprises, while offering opportunities to firms to shareexperience in the field. Furthermore, the expo has established cooperationrelations with the most renowned advertising expos in Asia.

Experts said that the inked free trade agreements will create favourableconditions for Vietnamese businesses to enter regional and global markets.Thus, businesses in advertising equipment and technology need to enhancecapacity to bring made-in-Vietnam products to large markets like ASEAN, the EUand the US.

Only by trading Vietnamese-branded products, domestic advertising companies canpromote the development of advertising industry and support other sectors,making contributions to the nation’s economic development.

VAA Chairman Dinh Quang Ngu said that rational investment and market researchare key to enhance competitiveness of advertising enterprises.

Meanwhile, advertising businesses said that state management agencies should createa favourable investment climate as well as provide sound business conditions soas to make advertising equipment and technology an important industry inVietnamese economy.-VNA
