Hanoi (VNA) - The following is a brief review of the day’s events as reported by the Vietnam News Agency.
- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on May 19 attended the groundbreaking ceremony for Tu Lien bridge project and its connecting roads, linking Nghi Tam interchange to Truong Sa interchange in Hanoi.

In his remarks at the event, PM Chinh stressed that the Tu Lien bridge will not only enhance connectivity and promote socio-economic development across Hanoi’s districts, but also link regional cities and provinces involved, national transport routes, and international gateways via Noi Bai and Gia Binh international airports. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged the faster progress of the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Centre (VEFAC) project in Hanoi’s Dong Anh district – one of the top 10 biggest exhibition centres in the world - to basically complete it by the end of July, while inspecting the project on May 19.

This work will celebrate and serve the display of socio-economic development achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945-2025), and National Day (September 2, 1945-2025), he said. Read full story
- A special art programme was organised at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi on May 18 night to commemorate the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – 2025).

The event was attended by Party General Secretary To Lam, State President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; and Politburo member and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, along with leaders from central agencies and ministries. - A ceremony was held on May 18 at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Xiengvang village, Nongbok district, Khammouane province, Laos, to celebrate the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – 2025).
In his remarks at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam underscored that President Ho Chi Minh devoted his whole life to the cause of national liberation of Vietnam and the struggle for peace, independence, democracy, and social progress of oppressed nations worldwide. - A network of overseas Vietnamese nuclear energy experts (VietNuc) officially made its debut at the Vietnamese Embassy in Paris on May 18, on the occasion of the Vietnam Science and Technology Day.

🔯 - Vietnam sent nine projects to compete at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2025, being held in the US from May 10-17.
