Ambassador visits Chinese localities to boost cooperation

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to China Dang Minh Khoi met with Secretary of Shanghai Party Committ✱ee Han Zheng and Vice Governor of Zhejiang province Liang Liming as part of his working visit to the Chinese localities from April 10-14.
At the meetings, the Ambassador hailed the developments in relations between the two countries thanks to regular high-level delegation exchanges, including reciprocated visits by the General Secretaries of the two Parties, which both took place within one year for the first time in 2015.
He proposed specific measures to enhance cooperation between Shanghai, Zhejiang and Vietnamese localities such as increasing all-level delegation exchanges to share experience in development policy and management, and encouraging Chinese businesses to invest in Vietnam in the fields of advanced technology, support industry and clean energy.
The diplomat suggested accelerating the opening of a Vietnamese trade promotion office in Zhejiang province, jointly organising cultural events and increasing the number of direct flights between the two countries’ localities.
Secretary of Shanghai Party Committee Han Zheng said he attached much importance to the friendship between Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City over the past two decades.
He said he hopes to visit Vietnam and HCM City in the near future to enhance bilateral cooperation across the fields.
Meanwhile, Vice Governor of Zhejiang province Liang Liming said he hopes Vietnam will continue to create favourable conditions for Chinese businesses to invest in the country.
He also proposed measures to increase connectivity between businesses and enable Zhejiang firms to participate in major exhibitions on trade and investment promotion in Vietnam.
During his stay, Ambassador Khoi worked with leaders of China’s Alibaba Group to discuss cooperation orientations between Chinese and Vietnamese businesses, particularly in e-commerce.
Earlier, he met with oversea seas Vietnamese in Shanghai and Zhejiang.-VNA
