AmCham awards 50 scholarships in HCM City

The American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam has awarded 50 scholarships worth a total of 620 million VND (27,300 USD) to university students in HCM City.

HCMCity (VNA) - The American Chamber of  Commerce  in  Vietnamhas awarded 50 scholarships worth a total of 620 million VND (27,300 USD) touniversity students in HCM City.

The50 awardees received scholarships worth 10 million VND each and will attend asoft skills training programme costing 120 million VND.

After16 years the AmCham Scholarship is given to students of 13 leading universitiesin the city.

Thethree-month long assessment process for this year’s scholarships included four rounds:application form screening, English test (Axcela Test format), ability test(SHL Test) and an interview in English by human resources specialists.

Morethan 320 applications, distributed evenly among all majors like economics,business, social sciences, and science and technology, were received.

Startingwith 10 scholarships and three university partners in 2001, AmCham has so fargiven away 755 scholarships.-VNA
