Animals released into wild in Quang Ninh

Sixty eight animals from eight wild species have been rescued and released into the Bai Tu Long National Park in Van Don district, northern Quang Ninh province on July 6.

Quang Ninh (VNA) – Sixty eight animals from eight wild species havebeen rescued and released into the Bai Tu Long National Park in Van Dondistrict, northern Quang Ninh province on July 6.  The animals, including 11 snakes, two wildcats, and 55 monkeyswere either handed over or rescued while being illegal transported, traded orkept in household captivity.

They have been taken care ofby the Hanoi Wildlife Rescue Centre and are in good condition.
Bai Tu Long National Park wasnamed the 38th ASEAN Heritage Park, meeting all necessary criteria, includingecological integrity, representativeness, nature, preservation, management andconservation plan and legality.

O💃ver the years, Bai Tu Long National Park has saved, taken care of and releasedto the nature more than 200 forest animals and five sea 🌟turtles.

Ithas also worked with international organisations to implement projects like seaturtle preservation, enhancing management capacity and biodiversityconservation and supporting eco-tourism development and environmentaleducation.-VNA

Vietnam ramps up plastic🦄 waste r꧂ecycling, reuse, treatment efforts

In 2019, Quang Ninh became one of the first localities in Vietnam to launch a province-wide campaign against plastic waste, mobilising the participation of the political system, the business sector, and the general public. Other localities—such as Hai Phong, Da Nang, Binh Duong, and Ho Chi Minh City—have also effectively implemented waste-sorting initiatives at source, along with models for plastic-free markets and urban areas.
