Hanoi (VNA) – The 13th Party CentralCommittee issued an announcement on March 9 after completing all the workingprogramme of its second plenum.
🐲 The second plenary session of the 13th Party Central Committeetook place on March 8 and 9 in Hanoi, during which the committee discussed and madedecision on several items, including the working agenda for the entire term ofthe 13th Party Central Committee, the introduction of candidates forhigh-ranking positions in State agencies and other important issues.
Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trongchaired the conference and delivered the opening and closing remarks.
🏅 Regarding the working agenda of the entire term of the 13th Party Central Committee, the Politburo has instructed the drafting of theworking agenda based on the Resolution and documents of the 13th National Party Congress as well as proposals and recommendations ofcommissions, ministries, sectors, localities and Party Central Committeemembers.
Thedrafting and approval of the working agenda for the entire term of the 13th Party Central Committee have great importance as it outlines the orientations,content and steps for directing the implementation of the 13th Congress’sResolution. In this spirit, Party Central Committee members took time tostudy, debate and reach agreement on selecting the most important and necessaryissues for the working agenda, thus ensuring the close and harmoniouscombination of tasks with socio-economic development as the central task, Partybuilding as the key task, cultural development as the spiritual foundation, andensuring defence-security as the regular and very important task, towards thesuccessful implementation of the resolution with general goals and six keymissions. Regardingthe introduction of candidates for high-ranking positions in State agencies,the Party Central Committee engaged in democratic discussion and thoroughconsideration and reach high consensus on the nomination of candidates for thepositions of State President, Prime Minister and Chair of the National Assembly. The committee also contributed opinions on the nomination ofcandidates for a number of leaders of State agencies to be submitted to theNational Assembly for electing or approving in accordance with the Constitutionand the law. The Party Central Committee appealed to the entire Party, peopleand army to enhance unity to build on important achievements of 2020 and the 12th tenure of the Party and make efforts to overcome all difficulties andchallenges to fulfill socio-economic development tasks for 2021, whilepreventing and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic as well as making urgentpreparations for the success of the election of deputies to the 15th NationalAssembly and all-level People’s Councils in the 2021-2026 tenure./.
