- The Asian Pacific GolfSummit (APGS) began on November 15 with the participation of many leading golfoperators, speakers, and managers of world golf groups in central Da Nang city. Among the attendees were Bob Parsons, chairmanand founder of Parsons Xtreme Golf, Zach Shor, chief operating officer of Topgolf Internationaland Adam Harris, an app developer, and Andrew Wood, CEO of Legendary Marketing. They discussed golf industry businessdevelopment, talked about solutions for golf technology through smart apps aswell as forecast future trends in the sport. Themed ‘New Directions’, APGSprovided information for the growth of Vietnam’s tourism in general and golftourism in particular. “Many people working in the field of golf, whoattended this morning’s conference have never been in Vietnam before. I believethat the summit will help them to understand more about our country and people.Through this event, we can widely popularise our tourism and golf tourism tointernational friends,” said Nguyen Thi Nga, chairman of BRG Group, Vietnam's leading golf course operator. The summit will continue today. Earlier on November 14, APGS participants competedin the 2017 Asia Pacific Inter-Club Golf Tournment, the opening activity of thesummit, at the BRG Danang Golf Resort.  They were the first athletes to experience thecourse designed by famed golfer Jack Nicklaus’s company Nicklaus Design.-VNA
