Approaching storm forces Dong Hoi airport to temporary close from Sept 19 noon
Dong Hoi Airport in the central province of Quang Binh will be temporary closed from 3mp on September 19 due to Storm No.4 that is forecast to make its landfall in the central region of Vietnam by September 19 afternoon, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).

Hanoi (VNA) – Dong Hoi Airport in the central province of Quang Binh will be temporary closed from 3mp until 10pm on September 19 due to Storm No.4 that is forecast to make its landfall in the central region of Vietnam by September 19 afternoon, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).
The authority said that airports to be affected also include Da Nang International Airport in Da Nang city, Phu Bai International Airport in Thua Thien-Hue province, Chu Lai Airport in Quang Nam province, and Vinh Airport in Nghe An province.
It asked the Airport Corporation of Vietnam to direct airports in areas forecast to be hit by the storm to coordinate with relevant agencies to examine the infrastructure systems and communication systems, ensuring their safe operation.
The authority also asked relevant agencies to regularly update meteorological information to promptly propose appropriate and safe utilisation plans.
The Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation was directed to keep a close eye on weather developments and submit reports to the authority and the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Aviation Search and Rescue to decide on the operation at airports, while providing information to airports, airlines, and relevant agencies and units.
The CAAV requested airlines to proactively adjust their operation plans at Dong Hoi Airport and update their customers on the schedule changes.

The northern port city of Hai Phong, which was among those bearing the brunt of Typhoon Yagi, is now sparing no efforts to recover, with businesses in local industrial zones accelerating the restoration of production to avoid disruptions to supply chains.
In the heavily affected village of Làng Nủ in Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province, the priority, alongside ongoing search and rescue efforts, is to swiftly rebuild and help locals resettle after the floods.
