ASEAN, Russia to hold security consultations online on June 28

Hanoi (VNA) – Russian Security Council SecretaryNikolai Patrushev will attend a video consultation with his counterparts fromASEAN member states on June 28, said the Russian Security Council press service.

The event is part of activities marking the 30th anniversaryof relations and 25th anniversary of dialogue partnership between Russia andthe bloc this year.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) consists of 10 member states- Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines,Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Russia has prioritised developing bilateral security tieswith ASEAN member nations. In March, Nikolai Patrushev paid a visit to Vietnam./.
