ATP Challenger Vietnam Open 2015 kicks off

The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Vietnam Open 2015 kicked off in Lan Anh Tennis Club in Ho Chi Minh City on October 10, with the participation of Vietnamese top players.

The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Vietnam Open 2015 kicked off in Lan Anh Tennis Club in Ho Chi Minh City on October 10, with the participation of Vietnamese top players Nguyen Hoang Thien, Ly Hoang Nam and Pham Minh Tuan. Together with Nagal Sumit from India, Thien, Nam and Tuan will enjoy wild cards to the main round, which will see the competition of 32 players, including 22 ATP high-ranking ones.
Meanwhile, the qualifying round will witness 20 players vying for four berths to the main round, starting from October 12. Nam is scheduled to play No. 2 seed James Duckworth from Australia, who ranks 99 th in the world, on October 13, while Thien will meet Huang Liang-chi from Taiwan ( China ) on October 12 and Tuan will play Yang Tsung-hua from Taiwan.
According to the organisation board, timetable for men’s double event will be decided on October 11. Winners will receive an award worth 50,000 USD and 90 points in ATP rankings. The tournament is scheduled to last until October 18. Ticket for each game in the main round costs between 110,000 VND (5 USD) and 500,000 VND (25 USD).-VNA
