Bac Ninh (VNA) – The congress of the Party organisation of Bac Ninh province approved aresolution on socio-economic development for 2020-2025 on September 26, which sets a target of turning the northern province of BacNinh into a centrally-run city.
Following theresolution, Bac Ninh will strive to become a city with modern and hi-techindustry by 2030, one of trade, service, education and training, and healthcarecentres of the country, and a driving force of the key northern economic zone.
The province alsoset targets of achieving per capita income of 130-136 million VND (5,600-5,858USD), State budget collection from economic activities of over 38 trillion VND, anexport turnover of 37.7 billion USD, an urbanisation rate of 55 percent, andthe poverty rate of under 1 percent by 2025.
To that end, BacNinh will step up the fight against corruption and wastefulness, selectcompetent officials, and consolidate trust between local people with the Partyand authorities. The province will continue intensifying economic restructuringin line with growth model shifting, developing digital economy, increasingproductivity and competitiveness, well implementing social welfare policies,and improving locals’ life.
The Partyorganisation’s congress selected the 20th Party organization executivecommittee in the 2020-2025 tenure, including 48 members. At its first session,the committee selected a 15-strong standing board. Dao Hong Lan, alternatemember of the Party Central Committee and Vice Secretary of the provincialParty Committee was elected to Secretary of the provincial Party Committee.
Speaking at theevent, Lan called on local people to unite and exert efforts to make Bac Ninhbecome a modern and civilised centrally-run city./.
