Bali International Airshow 2024 opens

The Bali International Airshow (BIAS) 2024 opened at the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, Indonesia, on September 18, drawing the participation of defence officials, ministers and industry leaders from more than 20 countries comprising the US, China, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines.

Jakarta (VNA) – The Bali International Airshow (BIAS) 2024 opened at the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, Indonesia, on September 18, drawing the participation of defence officials, ministers and industry leaders from more than 20 countries comprising the US, China, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines.

Speaking at the event, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said the airshow is an opportunity for nations to share experience, and cooperate to develop the global aerospace and aviation industry.

This prestigious event serves as a pivotal platform that unites diverse industry stakeholders to champion innovation in aerospace across Southeast Asia and Indonesia. It underscores Indonesia's steadfast dedication to aerospace excellence.

Nearly 100 global aerospace companies from 35 countries across the globe are attending this event, including Airbus, Bell Helicopters, Boeing, Brahmos, and Dassault Aviation.

✱ The four-day event encompasses a total area of 78,000 sq.m, consisting of a static aircraft display area covering more than 70,000 sq.m and an exhibition hall spanning approximately 8,000 sq.m. It also features dialogues on enhancing aerospace cooperation capacity in the region and the world, and solutions to promoting the use of green energy in the sector./.
