Bangkok hotel fire kills three foreigners

Hanoi (VNA) – A fire broke out at a hotel near Bangkok’s Khao San Road, a popular tourist destination, killing three foreigners and injuring seven people, Thailand's Bangkok Fire and Rescue Department said on December 30.

The fire broke about 9:21pm on December 29. It started on the fifth floor of the six-storey hotel.

One foreign woman was found dead at the site. Two foreign men were seriously injured and succumbed at hospitals later.

The seven injured were two Thais, and five foreigners.

ꦕ The hotel has been ordered to close for a security inspection. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire./.
