Binh Phuoc (VNA) – Authorities of the southernprovince of Binh Phuoc and the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group(VNPT) put into operation an Intelligent Operations Centre (IOC) at a ceremonyon September 9.

The centre initially pilots ten functions, including monitoringsocio-economic criteria, public administration, transport, urban order, landmanagement, environment sanitation, health, education, tourism, and hotline operation.

Tran Tue Hien, Chairwoman of the provincial People’sCommittee, said as from September 9, all local data would be frequently updatedserving the authorities’ management on socio-economic development, security,and order, in line with the Government’s Resolution 17.

The resolutionn issued on March 7 last year, covers a numberof key tasks and solutions related to e-governance development for 2019 – 2020with a vision toward 2025.

VNPT has so far signed agreements on IT andtelecommunications cooperation with 55 provinces and cities. The group isworking with 20 localities to implement smart applications./.
