In its statement released on October 5, the ministry welcomedthe cooperation, considering it as an important step in increasing the capacityand sustainability of the Indonesian aviation industry. The statement emphasised that establishing a partnership withBoeing, as one of the important stakeholders in the aviation industry, willbring greater opportunities for economic and technological growth in thecountry. The ministry's Director of Airworthiness and Aircraft OperationsM. Mauludin said that the MoU will help Indonesia to tackle challenges in theaviation industry such as supply chain and human resources. The two parties aimto develop quality human resources in the aviation sector which includestraining and skills development. The MoU covers some important aspects in the civil aviationsector, such as airworthiness, flight operations, increasing personnelcapacity, air navigation services, air transportation, and sustainable aviationinitiatives. Moreover, the two parties will share knowledge and experience intechnical aspects of aviation, including aviation safety and security, aircraftmaintenance, and technological innovation. For his part, Boeing's Vice President of Commercial Sales andMarketing Global Strategic Initiatives, John W. Bruns said the collaboration will mostly focus on joint effortsto improve aviation safety in Indonesia including information exchange,personnel training, and capacity improvement for Indonesia’s aviationindustry./.
