Hanoi (VNS/VNA) — ꦚA book featuring the philosophies of celebrated Kazakhpoet, composer and philosopher Abai Kunanbaev (1845-1904) has beentranslated into Vietnamese.
Thelaunching ceremony for the book, entitled “The Book of Words”, was heldrecently by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Vietnam in co-ordination with theAbai Science and Culture Centre in Vietnam of the Hanoi National University ofEducation. It isan activity to commemorate the 175th birth anniversary of Kunanbaev, who isconsidered the great thinker or enlightener of the Kazakh people. Professor DoViet Hung, representative of the university, said the publication is anevent of great significance in the co-operation between by the Embassy ofKazakhstan in Vietnam and the university. Accordingto the ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Vietnam, Yerlan Baizhanov, The Book of Words is the second Kazakhliterary work published in Vietnam. The first by anotherKazakh author was released in the 1970s and also featured Kunanbaev's lifeand career. Theambassador said Kunanbaev had a great influence on Kazakh history andculture, and The Book of Words isan educational work for all the people of Kazakhstan though many significanthistorical milestones. Besidespoems and educational works, Kunanbaev is also the author of many famousKazakh songs which have become considered the folk songs of the country. The Book of Words features 45 short prosephilosophies by Kunanbaev, addressing the issues of education, morality, rule oflaw and the history of the Kazakh people. Thebook has been translated into various languages, including Russian, Chinese,France, English, Korean, Turkish, Mongolian and others./.

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
Vietnam continues to sit just behind continental powerhouses Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, China, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
