General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam gave separate receptions in Astana on May 7 for leaders of the Kusto Group and national investment of fund of Kazakhstan as part of his state visit to the central Asian nation.

The event, broadcast live across the capital and major cities via public LED screen, also saw the presence of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Etno-Aul vividly portrays the life and culture of the Kazakh nomads. Located near the Kazanat horse racing track in the capital of Astana, the complex spans approximately 2,500 square metres and includes 30 traditional yurts designed in an ancient style, offering visitors an authentic experience of nomadic life.

The concert was not only an expression of goodwill between the people of both nations but also a vivid demonstration of mutual respect and profound friendship between their leaders.

Looking toward the future, the Party chief noted that the Strategic Partnership should be implemented through substantive and effective cooperation, thereby becoming a model of South-South collaboration between Southeast Asia and Central Asia.

PM Bektenov stressed Vietnam is Kazakhstan's most important and reliable partner in Southeast Asia and expressed his confidence that the Party chief's ongoing visit with the upgrade of the bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership is a historic milestone would inject fresh momentum into the traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son said despite geographical distance, Vietnam and Kazakhstan have maintained strong traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation, which has grown robustly and effectively in recent years, especially in the fields of economy, trade, and investment.

Leaders of the two countries agreed that developing and deepening the Vietnam - Kazakhstan relations are in accordance with the common interests of the two peoples, significantly contributing to ensuring peace, stability and development in the region and the world; agreed to elevate the bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership and to continue to boost cooperation

The two leaders exchanged their notes on orientations to foster the bilateral ties and agreed on specific measures to develop cooperative ties in a deeper and more substantive and effective manner, while discussing regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Party General Secretary To Lam acknowledged the award as recognition of the decades-long cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan, symbolising the affection and trust between the two countries’ people.

The state visits by Vietnamese Party General Secretary To Lam to Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are expected to further strengthen relations between Vietnam and the Central Asian countries, according to international media.

An official welcome ceremony was chaired by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayevon on May 6 morning for General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam and his spouse Ngo Phuong Ly, who are on a three-day state visit to the Central Asian country.

As bilateral trade flourishes, an upcoming state visit to Kazakhstan by Vietnamese Party General Secretary To Lam promises to inject new energy into economic ties.

The visits aim to continue intensifying the comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia, as well as the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Belarus, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan.

The visit from May 5-7 comes at a time when traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan are experiencing positive development. It is expected to further strengthen bilateral ties across numerous fields.
