Phnome Penh (VNA) – Cambodia’s Cambodia Angkor Air on November 27 launched a new air route from the capital city of Phnom Penh to Vientiane, Laos’ capital city.
Link Kao, Deputy General Director of the Cambodia Angkor Air, said the increased number of tourists to Laos and Laos’ role as chairman of the ASEAN in 2016 as reasons behind the opening of the route.
The airline also launched the air route from Vientiane to Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital city to fly three flights each week on the Phnom Penh – Vientiane – Hanoi route on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The Cambodia Angkor Air is the joint venture between Vietnꦚam Airlines and Cambodian government with the former holding 49 percent of the airline.-VNA
