Phnom Penh (VNA) –ဣ Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping witnessed the signing of 31 bilateral agreements in Phnom Penh on October 13.

The pacts include agreements, letters of intent and memorandums of understanding. The two sides formed partnerships concerning China's Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. They secured deals on avoiding double taxation, tariff-free status on 72 percent of trade items, and eliminated interest payment for financial aid.
Agreements on joint projects in industry, infrastructure, media, and maritime business and rice trade were secured. China also agreed to provide Cambodia with 1.2 trillion yuan (178.41 million USD) in non-refundable aid and 400 million yuan (59.48 million USD) in loans.
The sides agreed to exchange intelligence on human trafficking and domestic security. After the signing ceremony, the leaders inaugurated the Chinese Cultural Centre in Cambodia. President Xi visited Cambodia on October 13 and 14, his first visit to the country since taking office. During his stay, he met King Norodom Sihamoni, Queen Mother Nodorom Monineath Sihanouk and Prime Minister Hun Sen.-VNA
