Phnom Penh (VNA) – Cambodia has licensed 21 Foreign Direct Investment(FDI) projects capitalizing at 131 million USD in the first quarter of thisyear, which showed a plunge in comparison with 36 projects and 955 million USDrecorded in the same time in 2016.
The figures wererecently announced by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).
CDC, however, showedits upbeat and forecast that the FDI flow, especially from Japan, will increasein the coming time.
CDC’s statistics shows from 1992 to the end of May, 2017, Japan has poured 1.5 billionUSD in 125 investment projects in Cambodia.-VNA
