Cambodia, Thailand to discuss border cooperation

Phnom Penh (VNA) - Cambodian Defence Minister General Tea Banh will arrive in Bangkok to meet his Thai counterpart Prawit Wongsuwan to discuss continued cooperation along the border, the Cambodian Defence Ministry said in a statement on March 19.

ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ The two ministers will meet in the 11th meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand Joint Border Committee, scheduled for March 23 and 24, the statement said.

The meeting will focus on three important topics, covering security affairs, bilateral relations, cooperation for development along the shared border, it said.

Cambodia shares more than 800 km of border with Thailand to the north and west.
