Cambodian, Lao troops rehearse in Binh Duong for Vietnam's 50th reunification celebration
Along with units from the Vietnam People’s Army and other domestic forces, this year’s parade will include military contingents from China, Laos, and Cambodia.

Binh Duong (VNA) 💃– Soldiers from the Lao People’s Army and the Royal Cambodian Army have arrived in the southern province of Binh Duong to take part in rehearsals for the military parade marking the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2025).
Invited by Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defence, the participation of the foreign military delegations underscores the strong bonds of friendship and solidarity between the nations. It also offers an opportunity for regional partners to share the joy with the Vietnamese people in the struggle for national independence.
Along with units from the Vietnam People’s Army and other domestic forces, this year’s parade will include military contingents from China, Laos, and Cambodia. This marks the first time Vietnam has hosted a national military parade with the involvement of foreign armed forces, which highlights its growing international defence ties and strengthening cooperation among the countries.
At a welcome ceremony for the Lao and Cambodian delegations, Colonel Nguyen Dinh Chuan, Political Commissar of the Binh Duong Provincial Military Command, emphasised the significance of the 50th anniversary of national reunification, noting that hosting and supporting international military delegations is both a responsibility and a great honour for Binh Duong province.
Colonel Sompheng Keosira, head of the Lao delegation, and Bin Phoos of the Cambodian delegation expressed their pride in participating in the historic celebration and pledged their full commitment to ensuring its success.
The 50th anniversary of national reunification on April 30 will feature a large-scale celebration, with a military parade as its highlight, symbolising international unity and the enduring partnerships formed through shared efforts for peace and independence./.
The national commemoration ceremony will take place at 6:30 am on April 30, along Le Duan Street, District 1, and other streets in the central districts of the city.
The parade will feature 25 military and militia formations and 17 police formations, with more than 13,000 personnel from all services and branches of the Vietnam People’s Army, People’s Public Security, and militia forces.
A national-level celebration celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification in Ho Chi Minh City on April 30 will feature a 30-minute art performance, flag-saluting, speeches by top leaders and representatives of war veterans and young people. It will be followed by a military-civilian parade and a symbolic release of balloons and doves.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Long spoke highly of the dynamic, positive, and comprehensive development of Vietnam – Russia relations in recent years. At the conference, participants reported that the Government has so far issued 28 decrees on the delegation of responsibilities and powers between the central Government and two-tier local administrations. Several localities have already piloted the new governance model.

Under the official dispatch signed on June 20, ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, and chairpersons of provincial and municipal People’s Committees are requested to concentrate efforts on implementing core measures to ensure the smooth operations of the new administrative framework.
