Can Tho (VNA) – The first Miss Tourism beautycontest of the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho will be held in November to find arepresentative for local tourism, the organising board announced on September19.
The contest will be co-organised by the municipal Departmentof Culture, Sports and Tourism and EvaCom Vietnam Trading and CommunicationJoint Stock Company.
It will begin on November 1 and finalists will compete on the final night on November22. Participants will also take part in activities highlightingtheir talent and charity work.
Head of the organising board Tran Bao Linh said Can Tho isknown as the land of beautiful girls, hence it is selected for the second contestin a series of contests towards the Miss Tourism Vietnam to be held in 2021./.
Vietnamese representative Nguyen Thi Lien Phuong won the first runner-up title at the World Miss Tourism Ambassador beauty contest which concluded recently in the Philippines.
Vietnamese contestant Le Thi Ngoc Bich won the second runner-up and Miss Friendly titles of the Miss Asia Ural 2019 beauty pageant held in Yekaterinburg city of Russia on June 1.
Luong Thuy Linh, a 19-year-old student from the northern province of Cao Bang surpassed 38 other contestants to take the crown in the final round of the Miss World Vietnam 2019 beauty contest in the central city of Da Nang on August 3.
