A portal has been launched at //treem.gov.vn to better serveanybody wishing to search for information related to child protectionand care.
Addressing the opening ceremony on March31 in Hanoi, Dang Hoa Nam Director of the Department of Child Protectionand Care under the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs,said the initiative aims to develop an online database system on childprotection that is accessible to more people.
Themultimedia portal, which provides a diversity of data types such asvideo, audio, text and pictures, will also provide information for childprotection organisations and staff, Nam said.
Theportal is also expected to help mobilise incentives and social resourcesfor this child protection and care, he added.
In2015, the department will continue developing software managinginformation on children in localities while setting up a generaldatabase system that integrates information at all levels.
Staff will be trained on how to use the system, thus enhancing the management of child protection and care nationwide.-VNA
