The two leaders met twice in 2016 and reached importantagreements that greatly improved their bilateral ties. For his part, President Rodrigo Duterte was pleased to seePhilippines – China friendship and solidarity enhanced while their exchanges andcooperation in various areas restored and pushed forward.
