Chinese youths always stand by side with Vietnamese fellows

Hanoi (VNA)ꦚ – The Chinese youths will always stand side by side with Vietnamese fellows in fostering the well-established ties between the two countries, First Secretary of the Communist Youth League of China Central Committee Qin Yizhi told head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan during a reception in Hanoi on November 8.
Qin, who is in Vietnam to attend the third Vietnam-China youth festival, informed the host about joint work between the two youth unions over the past years, saying that the festival held in Vietnam affords the two countries’ young generations a chance to review bilateral friendship between the two Parties, States and people.
He also expressed his pleasure with great achievements that the Vietnamese people have reaped in the socialism building process under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Quan, for his part, described the festival as a bright spot in collaboration between Vietnamese and Chinese young generations.
He expressed wish that the two countries’ youth unions will continue enhancing cooperation in training young personnel and sharing expertise in the new context, for the benefit of the two peoples, and for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

The 16th Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Meeting is underway from November 4-9 in anticipation of the visit of Xi Jinping, Party General Secretary and President of China to Vietnam.
Representatives of Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Communist Youth League of China agreed on the need to boost exchanges between the two countries’ young people during their talks.
The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) always treasures the friendship and cooperation with the Communist Youth League of China, Secretary of the HCMCYU Central Committee Le Quoc Phong said.
Stronger efforts and determination are required to achieve and surpass the set targets, especially in the eradication of makeshift and dilapidated houses nationwide, the acceleration of public investment disbursement, and the implementation of nationally important transport projects, PM Pham Minh Chinh noted.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Long spoke highly of the dynamic, positive, and comprehensive development of Vietnam – Russia relations in recent years. He affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State place great importance on further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia in a substantive and effective manner, in line with the development needs of both nations.
At the conference, participants reported that the Government has so far issued 28 decrees on the delegation of responsibilities and powers between the central Government and two-tier local administrations. Several localities have already piloted the new governance model.

In particular, in April 2023, the two sides successfully carried out a joint operation that dismantled a major organised, transnational drug trafficking ring involving both Vietnamese and Cambodian suspects.
