HCM City (VNA) – A delegation of the PartyCommittee, People’s Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in HoChi Minh City on December 21 visited the HCM City Archdiocese on the occasionof Christmas and New Year holidays.

Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen VanNen extended greetings to Joseph Nguyen Nang, Archbishop of the Archdiocese,priests, dignitaries and Catholics in the city.

Nen spoke highly of their contributions to the COVID-19fight in HCM City, and expressed a hope that they will continue to join efforts in theconstruction and development of the southern metropolis.

For his part, Joseph Nguyen Nang said the Catholiccommunity is always put their trust in the Party and the State, and seriously observe pandemicprevention and control regulations, while participating in patriotic emulationcampaigns.

Also on December 21 morning, a delegation of the PartyCentral Committee’s Commission for Mass Organisation paid a pre-Christmas visitto the Can Tho Diocese in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho./.
