Conference links tourism experiences across four provinces

A tourism promotion conference was held in Hanoi on April 13 spotlighting enticing activities for tourists on their journeys across the four provinces of Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh.

Hanoi (VNA) –  A tourism promotion conference was held inHanoi on April 13 spotlighting enticing activities for tourists on their journeys across the four provinces of Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh.

Held as part of the Vietnam International Travel Mart Hanoi2023, it gathered representatives of the Vietnam National Administration ofTourism (VNAT), tourism management units at central and local levels, and travelcompanies. The four provinces took this occasion to hold a display of publicationsand documents on their tourism products and specialties.

In his remarks at the event, VNAT General Director NguyenTrung Khanh said this was a good opportunity for the provinces to introduce whatthey have to offer visitors in the peak time of domestic tourism this summer.

Leveraging the potential and unique identity of eachlocality in the overall linkage, the provinces have focused on building andeffectively exploiting a series of new and attractive products such as a tourthrough ancient Vietnamese capitals, and a journey to discover heritages in thecentral region, Khanh noted.

They have even reached out to the international market byconnecting with Laos and Thailand, he added.

The number of tourists to these provinces skyrocketed lastyear, reflecting the prospects brought about by regional tourism linkages, saidthe official.

Located in the southern reaches of the Red River Delta, Ninh Binh is known forits wondrous natural scenery, with a labyrinth of waterways, mountains, andplains as well as cross-cultural influences from the north to the south andfrom the mountains to the plains and coastal areas. The province's Trang AnLandscape Complex was recognised by UNESCO as a World Cultural and NaturalHeritage Site in June 2014, becoming the first mixed natural and culturalproperty in Vietnam.

The north-central province of Thanh Hoa is home to Ben EnNational Park and a part of Cuc Phuong National Park. It houses 11 conservationareas of scenic spots, and historical and cultural relic sites.

Lying in the heart of the north central region and the East-West economiccorridor linking Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam with the East Sea, Nghe Anhas a coastline of 82km with stunning beaches and more than 2,600 historicalrelic sites and natural landscapes. It is also home to six ethnic groups withunique cultures.

Ha Tinh is located in the northern part of central Vietnam,about 340 km (211 miles) south of Hanoi, facing Nghe An province to the north,Quang Binh province to the south, Laos to the west, and the East Sea to theeast. It is endowed with beautiful beaches and a large number of national-leveland provincial-level relic sites./.
