Hanoi (VNA) - The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has senta message of congratulations to the 13th National Congress of theCommunist Party of Vietnam (CPV), which officially opened in Hanoi on January26.
The CPC CentralCommittee also extended its whole-hearted greetings to all Vietnamese Partymembers and people.
It said that sincethe 12th National Congress of the CPV, the CPV Central Committeeheaded by Secretary General Nguyen Phu Trong has paid attention to intensifyingParty building, leading Vietnamese people to many achievements in accelerating socialismbuilding and reform.
Given the impactof COVID-19, the CPV Central Committee has brought into full play its undauntedleadership to effectively combat the pandemic, maintain economic growth, and improvepeople’s living standards, demonstrating the superiority of socialism, the CPCCentral Committee noted.
“We really feel veryhappy about this,” it continued.
The CPC CentralCommittee said the 13th National Congress of the CPV is an importantcongress as it is associated with the development in all spheres of theVietnamese Party and State, and is a major event in the political life of theVietnamese Party and people.
The congress isof significance as it will put forth development targets for the nation, as wellas implementation plans to the centennial anniversary of the CPV and thecentennial founding anniversary of Vietnam, opening up a new path to buildVietnam into a modernised socialist country.
The ChineseParty and Government attach importance to developing relations between the twoParties and nations, and stand ready to work together with the Vietnamese sideto inherit and promote the time-honoured friendship that has been founded andcultivated by generations of leaders of the two countries under the motto “friendlyneighbourliness, comprehensive co-operation, long-term stability, and lookingforward to the future”, and in a spirit of “good neighbours, good friends, goodcomrades, and good partners”.
The two sideswill also materialise important common perceptions reached by leaders of thetwo Parties and countries, and work to foster the Vietnam-China comprehensivestrategic cooperative partnership, bringing more and greater interests to bothnations and their peoples and actively contributing to peace, stability andprosperous development in the region, the message read./.
Nearly 500 domestic and foreign reporters gathered at the press centre of the 13th National Party Congress to cover the opening ceremony of the event on the morning of January 26.

Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Sengphet Houngboungnuang said the Communist Party of Vietnam’s sound and clear-sighted leadership has driven the national revolutionary cause as well as helped the Southeast Asian country gain an increasing position on the international area.
The 13th National Party Congress, which is taking place in Hanoi, is of great significance to socio-political life in Vietnam. As the gathering is now underway, many people have expressed their hopes and expectations over the congress’s outcomes.
Stronger efforts and determination are required to achieve and surpass the set targets, especially in the eradication of makeshift and dilapidated houses nationwide, the acceleration of public investment disbursement, and the implementation of nationally important transport projects, PM Pham Minh Chinh noted.

The UN Secretary-General praised Vietnam’s remarkable achievements in socio-economic development and international integration in recent years, noting that the country has emerged as a model in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting international peace and security, and engaging in key UN processes.
Nghia affirmed that this is a milestone of special significance, affirming and honouring the the Vietnamese revolutionary press’s glorious tradition of 100 years of serving the revolutionary cause of the Party, serving the Fatherland, and serving the people.

NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man stressed the need to accelerate the application of artificial intelligence and smart teaching equipment, innovate teaching and assessment methods, and further improve the quality of formal education.
He also pledged that the NA will promote its ongoing supervision, making sure that every promise must lead to results, and every commitment must bring about real changes.
Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien welcomed the proposals put forward by the US side and reiterated Vietnam’s request for consideration of key areas of interest, including reciprocal tariff policies and access for Vietnamese key export products to the US market.
Deputy PM Le Thanh Long proposed countries promote shared values, including building trust, sincerity, and solidarity among nations and peoples; fostering cooperation spirit and responsible behaviour as well as upholding international law and the UN Charter; and placing people at the centre and as the goal, the key player, and the driving force of all policies.
The show, together with a grand parade to be held silmutaneously at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, the National Day, and the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA).
In particular, in April 2023, the two sides successfully carried out a joint operation that dismantled a major organised, transnational drug trafficking ring involving both Vietnamese and Cambodian suspects.
