Hanoi (VNA) - Leaders of Austria, Portugal, Greece, Malta, ✤Morocco,Pakistan, Romania, and the Republic of Cyprus have cabled letters and messagesof congratulations to the Vietnamese Party and State leaders, on the occasionof the 78th anniversary of the National Day (September2).
President of Austria AlexanderVan der Bellen, President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President ofGreece Katerina Sakellaropoulou, President of Malta George Vella, King ofMorocco Mohamed VI, President of Pakistan Arif Alvi, President of Romania KlausWerner Iohannis and President of Cyrus Nikos Christodoulides sent congratulatory lettersand messages to President Vo Van Thuong. Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and PrimeMinister of Romania Ion Marcel Ciolacu also extended greetings to PM Pham MinhChinh. On the occasion, Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Jalil Abbas Jilani and Minister of Foreign Affairs ofRomania Luminita Odobescu also cabled congratulatory letters to their Vietnamese counterpart Bui Thanh Son./.
Leaders of foreign countries and international organisations showered Vietnamese leaders with greetings on the occasion of the 78th National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2023).
Hanoi welcomed about 640,000 tourists, including 41,000 foreigners, during the four-day National Day holiday, up 51% compared to the same period last year, according to the municipal Tourism Department.
Tourism destinations across the country served around 2.5 million tourists during the National Day holidays from September 1-4, the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) has reported.
