Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long cleared up questions regarding state management in judicial assessment and the handling of limitations in document issuance at a hearing session of the 36th meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee in Hanoi on August 21.
According to the official, the Ministry of Justice plans to submit a new document relating to judicial assessment costs to the Prime Minister in the time ahead.
The Supreme People's Court is working on an ordinance on litigation costs, which partly deals with judicial expertise, he said, asking the court to continue accelerating the process and submit it to the NA Standing Committee for consideration and approval.
For solutions to deal with the issuance of documents that include regulations running counter laws, Long said the Ministry of Justice will step up inspections and supervisions, and hold working sessions with agencies.
It is crucial to well implement the Politburo’s Regulation No. 178-QD/TW on controlling power and preventing and combating corruption and negative phenomena in law-making, he stressed.
Responding to a query on pending documents that give details on the implementation of laws and resolutions, the official highlighted the Government’s efforts in speeding up the drafting and issuance, including adjustment to a number of articles of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents.
Long also pointed out the phenomena of group and local interests in the building of legal documents as reflected through economic corruption cases and conclusions by inspection agencies.

The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee wrapped up the three-day thematic session on law building in preparation for the coming 8th session of the 15th legislature on August 14.
