Jakarta (VNA) – The crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic provides important impetus for structural reform through inclusive sustainable development in Indonesia,Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto has said.
Speaking at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) MinisterialMeeting on Structural Reform on June 16, Airlangga stated that the Indonesian Governmenthas also committed to supporting the four pillars of structural reform for thenext five years, including creating a supportive environment for an open, transparentand competitive market, improving business recovery and resilience to futureshocks, ensuring that all groups in society have equal access to opportunitiesfor more inclusive, sustainable growth and greater well-being, and leveraginginnovation, new technologies, and skills development to drive productivity anddigitalization.
Indonesia will prioritise environmentally friendly economicdevelopment such as hydro power, solar panels, geothermal energy and 30 percentbiodiesel (B30).
