Criminal proceedings begin for high school exam fraud in Son La
The Investigation Police Agency of the Police Department of the northern mountainous province of Son La started criminal proceedings on July 26 on the violation case related to school exam fraud in the locality.
Son La (VNA)– The Investigation Police Agency of the Police Department of the northernmountainous province of Son La started criminal proceedings on July 26 on the violationcase related to school exam fraud in the locality.
Based on investigationresults from the High School Examination 2018 Council of Son La, the agencyissued a decision on commencing legal proceedings in the case of “abusing poweror position in performance of official duties” under Article 356 of theCriminal Code.
Currently, the agencyis finalising procedures to begin legal proceedings against suspects involvedin the case.
Earlier on July 23,authorities targeted five people involved in the high school exam fraud in SonLa.
One of the five isTran Xuan Yen, who held multiple roles as Vice Director of the provincialDepartment of Education and Training, member of the exam steering board, ViceChairman of the provincial exam board, standing deputy head of the test markingboard, and head of the multiple-choice test marking group.
The other fourinclude Nguyen Thi Hong Nga, an official at the local authority of examinationand quality management; Cam Thi Bun Son, an official at the provincialDepartment of Education and Training, and member of the multiple-choice testmarking group; Dang Huu Thuy, Vice Rector of To Hieu High School, and member ofthe multiple-choice test marking group; and Lo Van Huynh, deputy head of thelocal authority of examination and quality management, member of the examsteering board, and head of the secretariat.–VNA
