Hanoi (VNA) – The Asiancyber space conference and exhibition, Cybertech Asia 2018, opened in Singaporeon March 27, bringing together IT experts, chief executive officers and delegatesfrom over 80 top high-tech companies of developed nations such as Singapore,Israel, the UK, Germany and the US.
Themed “Challenges andopportunities in new cyber space era”, Cybertech Asia 2018 provided a platformfor experts, policymakers, cyber companies and start-ups to share technologicalsolutions and seek new orientations to addressing challenges during the fourthindustrial revolution.
Participants discussed strategiesand solutions to global online threats in the fields of finance-banking, transportation,telecommunications, health care and government. The forum also introduceddifferent technologies in cyber security.
Amir Rapaport, founder ofCybertech, said the world has become vulnerable to the rapid development ofInternet of Things and increasing cyber attacks so that IT and cyber companiesneed to strengthen linkages and share new strategies in response to risks and cyberattacks.
He said Asia is in the forefrontand takes the leading role in renovating technologies to protect informationconnectivity, key infrastructure, energy and big data. He suggested usingartificial intelligence to discover and prevent threats.
An exhibition showcasing cybersecurity solutions was also held with the participation of many groups aroundthe world, including BAE System, Cyberbit and Digital Shadow. On display areface recognition and fingerprint screening systems, anti-malware and virussoftware, among others.
The two-day Cybertech Asia 2018,at Suntec City Exhibition Centre in Singapore, is expected to attract nearly10,000 delegates.-VNA
