Czech media have high expectations for Prime Minister Petr Fiala's visit to Vietnam

Media outlets in the Czech Republic ran articles that express high expectations for the upcoming official visit to Vietnam of Prime Minister Petr Fiala at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, especially regarding business cooperation and opportunities for Czech businesses.

Prague (VNA) – Mediaoutlets in the Czech Republic ranarticles that express high expectations for the upcoming official visit to Vietnam of Prime Minister Petr Fiala at the invita🅷tion of Vietnamese PrimeMinister Pham Minh Chinh, especially regarding businesscooperation and opportunities for Czech businesses.

The "Business Information" quoted President of the Czech Chamber of CommerceVladimir Dlouhy as saying that the PM will be accompanied by 30 representativesof large corporations and companies, including engineering firms, aircrafttechnology manufacturers, weapons companies and software developers.

All Asian countries that PMFiala will visit during this trip, including Vietnam, have great potential and can bring about opportunities for Czech businesses, he said.

According to Dlouhy, onApril 21, the Czech business delegation is scheduled to have a meeting with Vietnamese firms inHanoi, followed by a working lunch between PM Fiala and Vietnamese officials and delegates from companies engaged indefence industry.

Dlouhy himself expects to meet with leaders of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry(VCCI).  Businesses of the two countrieswill also hold a working session in the northern Quang Ninh province where Czech automaker Skoda plans to build afactory. PM Fiala will attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the plant onApril 22.

Meanwhile, the Czech newsagency CTK wrote that Vietnam offers opportunities for Czech businesses in theauto industry and a number of other important fields. It quoted PM Fiala asdescribing the Indo-Pacific region as of great economic importance because itis the fastest-growing region in the world. Fiala said that it is necessary forthe Czech government to support the activities of Czech businesses in theregion.

According to the website Vietnamskelisty.czwhich is sponso🐻red by the European Union, Vietnam is attractive for Czechentrepreneurs with many business opportunities in various fields. Vietnam has adynamic economy, a growing market and an improving business environment, itsaid, adding that a large workforce and low production costs make Vietnam anideal destination for Czech manufacturers.

As Vietnam is one of thelargest textile and garment manufacturing countries in the world, Czechbusinesses can take advantage of low-cost labour and quality raw materialswith a decades-long textile industry in Vietnam. The Czech side can alsoparticipate in the development of Vietnam's food industry on the basis of arich agricultural background. In terms of tourism, Vietnam is considered to have great potential and is attracting more tourists, opening up opportunitiesfor Czech enterprises to do business in the hotel and travel sectors.

In an article on the "Parliamentary Journal", the Honorary President of the Czech-VietnamFriendship Assocꦓiation, Marcel Winter, wꦗrote that Vietnam is a beautiful,peaceful and safe country, a gateway to Asia for Czech businessmen.Therefore, Czech enterprises have great opportunities in Vietnam and need to speedup promotion and marketing in this market of 100 million people, he said./.
