Hanoi (VNA) - Defence Mi🤡nister General Phung Quang Thanh hosted a 🤡reception for Tony Lynch, Deputy Secretary of Defence of New Zealand, in Hanoi on November 6.

At the meeting, General Phung Quang Thanh spoke highly of the outcomes of the first Defence Dialogue between Vietnam and New Zealand on November 5.
Vietnam always treasures the comprehensive partnership with New Zealand in which defence is among key pillars, Thanh said. Lynch told his host that the expansion of the bilateral defence ties would help fuel the two countries’ relations.
He said the two defence ministries will increase the exchange of visits, maintain consultation and dialogue mechanisms, intensify cooperation in language and professional training and the sharing of experience in joining UN peacekeeping activities. The New Zealand Deputy Secretary of Defence is in Vietnam for the first Vietnam – New Zealand defence dialogue.-VNA
