Hanoi (VNA) – The defence ties has become one of theimportant pillars of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China, DeputyDefence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Nguyen Chi Vinh said at his reception for Ambassador of Chinato Vietnam Xiong Ba in Hanoi on November 16.

He stated that the relations between the Parties, States and people ofVietnam and China have been growing soundly with the defence ties having seen newand result-oriented development, as evidenced by activities of defence leadersand the upcoming fifth Vietnam-China border defence friendship exchange in CaoBang (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China).

The Vietnamese officer said he believes Ambassador Xiong Ba will makecontributions to bolstering the bilateral relations in general and the defencecooperation in particular during his working term in Vietnam.

Ambassador Xiong Ba said he will always work to promote the soundrelations between the two countries and have active contributions to developingthe bilateral cooperation and friendship in a sustainable manner.-VNA
