Denmark to provide technical support for Vietnam in strategic areas
Denmark will provide technical support for Vietnamese partners in the four strategic cooperation areas of education, healthcare, food safety and environment.

Hanoi (VNA) – Denmark will providetechnical support for Vietnamese partners in the four strategic cooperationareas of education, healthcare, food safety and environment, said DanishMinister of Development Cooperation Ulla Tørnӕs.
Speaking at a press conference in Hanoi on May5, the Minister said in the field of food safety, Denmark will help Vietnam reinforcestandards in husbandry, veterinary medicine use and product origins.
Vietnam is developing rapidly, however, the countryis expected to face a range of challenges to achieve sustainable development,she said, stressing that Denmark has full capacity and suitable products tohelp Vietnam deal with such problems.
At the press briefing, she cleared up queriesregarding Vietnam’s socio-economic development, food safety issue, andorientations for cooperation in clean energy between the two countries.
Minister of Development CooperationUlla Tørnӕs paid an officialvisit to Vietnam from May 4-5 with the aim of boosting the comprehensivepartnership between the two countries in the four strategic spheres, thuscontributing to promoting changes under the Global Green Forum (3GF) in whichVietnam is the eighth core member.
During her stay in Vietnam, the Danish Ministermet with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and held talks with Minister ofPlanning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung.
She also had meetings with Minister of NaturalResources and Environment Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Health Minister Le Quang Cuongand Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Vu Van Tam.
The minister attended the opening ceremony of theAsian round-table discussion of the Global Green Growth forum in Hanoi andparticipated in a programme aiming to raise public awareness about the UN’sSustainable Development Goals at the Hanoi University of Public Health.
She also met with representatives of Danishcompanies and visited Ngoc Ha market in Ba Dinh district, Hanoi, and a pig farmof Dabaco Group in the northern province of Bac Ninh.-VNA
The Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) and the Andersen Consult Group of Denmark co-hosted a networking programme on January 10 to boost partnerships between Vietnamese and Danish enterprises.
