Deputy FMs of Vietnam, Ukraine hold political consultation
Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and his Ukrainian counterpart Sergiy Kyslytsya held a political consultation in Hanoi on June 20 to discuss the countries’ cooperation and some regional and international issues.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister BuiThanh Son and his Ukrainian counterpart Sergiy Kyslytsya held a politicalconsultation in Hanoi on June 20 to discuss the countries’ cooperation and someregional and international issues.
The two sides affirmed the wish to continueenhancing the partnership and comprehensive cooperation between the twocountries.
They said bilateral cooperation has beendeveloping positively as illustrated by a visit to Vietnam by Ukrainian ForeignMinister Pavlo Klimkin in September 2017 and the 14th meeting of the bilateralInter-Governmental Committee in Kiev one month later.
Discussing measures to strengthen connections,they said the two countries will increase mutual visits at all levels and presson with realising the agreements reached at the 14th meeting of the Vietnam –Ukraine Inter-Governmental Committee on economic-trade andscientific-technological cooperation.
More favourable conditions will also be providedfor the countries’ businesses to boost partnership in the fields that matchUkraine’s strength and Vietnam’s demand like energy, agriculture and healthcare.
The two countries will also step up trade andcultural and people-to-people exchanges, the officials added.
Deputy Minister Kyslytsya highly valuedcontributions by the Vietnamese community in his country to bilateral ties.
The officials also agreed to continue organisingconsultations between the two foreign ministries’ agencies on the basis of theministries’ consultation plan for 2018 – 2019.
At the event, they shared views on world andregional issues of common concern, including the European and Asian-Pacificsituation, and agreed to keep close coordination at international forums,especially the United Nations.
Ukraine reiterated its support for Vietnam’scandidacy for a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council for 2020 –2021.-VNA
