Hanoi (VNA)🍰 – Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha received his Russian counterpart Dmitry Chernyshenko in Hanoi on June 19.

Expressing his pleasure to meet Dmitry Chernyshenko again after the 24th session of the Vietnam-Russia Inter-governmental Committee for economic, trade and scientific-technical cooperation in April 2023, Ha said he believes that the contacts and working sessions of the Russian Deputy PM within the framework of the State visit to Vietnam by President Vladimir Putin will contribute to promoting Vietnam-Russia cooperation in many fields. Ha said that the two sides have been making efforts to implement agreements reached during the April 2023 meeting, especially in the fields of diplomacy, trade, energy, education and training, science and technology, culture, sports and tourism. These are all traditional areas of cooperation between the two sides and those of Russia's strengths.
The two sides have tried to research and come up with feasible solutions to resolve difficulties and obstacles when implementing new cooperation areas. Russian and Vietnamese businesses have made many proposals and initiatives to promote investment and business in both countries.
For his part, the Russian mentioned measures to expand investment and business activities of the two countries' enterprises based on the strengths of each country such as oil and gas, energy, agricultural products, pharmaceuticals, mechanical products, and tourism. The two Deputy PMs also agreed that the two sides need to implement practical activities and projects to promote cultural and educational values, people-to-people exchanges, and cooperation between their localities./.
