Dien Bien provides training for northern Lao cadres

Additional training sessions will be conducted at local educational institutions to help participants improve professional skills and the capability of using teaching technology, meeting the training needs of cadres from northern Lao provinces.

Dien Bien (VNA) – A programme providing Vietnamese language training for Lao students and hands-on tr🐷aining for cadres from three northern Lao provinces opened in Vietnam's northwesꦛtern province of Dien Bien on February 11.

The programme, organised by the Dien Bien Department of Education and Training, includes a Vietnamese language course for 16 Lao students from February 12 to August 10, and a six-week refresher course for 28 cadres of Phongsaly, Udomxay, and Luang Prabang provinces from February 12 to March 6.

Participants will study Vietnamese, attend workshops on informatio♉n technology, and receive hands-on training in using teaching equipment for subjects like physics, chemistry, and biology. They will also visit historical and cultural site𝕴s and engage in practical activities at educational institutions in Dien Bien.

The programme will focus on IT application to teaching and the use of educational tools in general education. Additional training sessions will be conducted at local educational institutions to help participants improve professional skills and the capability of using teaching technology, meeting the training needs of cadres from northern Lao provinces.

At the opening ceremony, Pham Duc Toan, Vice Chairman of the Dien Bien People’s Committee, highlighted the province’s over-20-year-long commitment to human resources training under its cooperation plan with northern Lao provinces, emphasising the work's significance as a political prior𒈔ity.

Toan asked relevant agencies to ensure proper accommodation, learning conditions, and support for the trainees. He expressed his hope that participants will gain essential Vietnamese language skills for effective communication, study, and work, helping to effectively carry out cooperation activities. He also encouraged them to promote Vietnamese language learning in Laos, thus further strengthening the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Dien Bien and northern Lao provinces, as well as between Vietnam and Laos./.
