The United Left Movement of Dominica(MIU) has named the office of its Santo Domingo chapter after Vietnam’s late State President Ho Chi Minh.
Speaking at theoffice’s inauguration ceremony in the capital city on January 17, MIUSecretary-General Miguel Mejia praised President Ho Chi Minh’s greatcontributions to the Vietnamese people in particular and the worldrevolutionary movement in general.
He said the MIU, as a member of the governing alliance in Dominica , is resolved to strengthen ties with Vietnam .
On the occasion, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba and the Republic ofDominica Vu Chi Cong presented a portrait photo of President Ho ChiMinh and a Vietnamese national flag to be hung at the office./.
