Draft revisions to law on foreigners’ exit, entry discussed at National Assembly

A draft law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam was among several bills tabled for discussion at the NA on October 29.

Hanoi (VNA) - A draft law amending and supplementing anumber of articles of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreignersin Vietnam was among several bills tabled for discussion on October 29, the 7th working day of the 8th session of the National Assembly.  

During group discussion of the draft law, the deputies paid attention tostipulations on cases eligible for visa exemption, conditions for entry andexit, management of foreigners’ residence, the building, use and sharing of thedatabase on foreigners’ entry, exit, transit and residence, among others.

The other legal documents presented to the NA for examination during theday were the draft law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Lawon Organization of the National Assembly, the draft law amending andsupplementing Article 3 of the Law on management and use ofweapons, explosives and supporting tools.

Also during the day, NA deputies gave opinionson a draft resolution on piloting the removal of ward-level People’s Councilsin urban districts and towns of Hanoi.  

The NA is scheduled to debate the reportson socio-economic and State budget performance in 2019, and socio-economic developmentplans, budget estimates and allocations in 2020 at a plenary sitting on October30. The debate will be broadcast live on national television and radio, and theNA’s TV channel./.
