Hanoi (VNA)– An exhibition highlighting the people, culture and history of Hanoi opened inthe city on October 5 on the occasion of the 64th liberation anniversary ofthe capital (October 10, 1954-2018).
On display are 250paintings, graphics and sculpture works featuring Hanoi girls, flowers,landscapes, and locals’ daily activities and production.
Through the works,young artists show their creative and young insights of life, along with enthusiasticworks of old artists.
Addressing the openingceremony, Pham Kim Binh, President of the Hanoi Fine Art Association said thatover the past 50 years, fine art section of Hanoi has seen significantprogress.
Noting that Hanoi isexperiencing strong growth in economy and culture, local artists have exertedefforts to present the production, national construction and defence, reformand international integration, she said.

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.
