Festival looks to promote Buon Ma Thuot Coffee brand: official
The 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee festival aims to promote the local coffee brand and gradually turns Buon Ma Thuot into one of the world’s leading coffee destinations, thereby contributing to raising the value and position of Vietnamese coffee in the world market, an official has said.

Hanoi (VNA) –The 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee festival aims to promote the local coffeebrand and gradually turns Buon Ma Thuot into one of the world’s leading coffee destinations,thereby contributing to raising the value and position of Vietnamese coffee inthe world market, an official has said.
Nguyen Tuan Ha, vice chairmanof the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak’s People’s Committee, made thestatement at a press conference introducing the upcoming festival in Hanoi on February 10.
💞 Themed “Buon Ma Thuot – The destination ofthe world coffee”, the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival will takeplace in Buon Ma Thuot city and several other localities of Dak Lak on March10-14.
The biennial festival, which has become a prominent event of the coffee industry in Vietnam, is intended to honour coffee growers, processors, and traders as well as introduce the locality’s potential and promote investment in coffee processing and agricultural products in the area, Ha added.

This year’s event will feature 18 officialactivities and some response activities including exhibitions and workshops onspecialty coffee.
New activities this time include avideo-making contest to popularise Buon Ma Thuot coffee, a musical performance,a festival of light, photo exhibitions, and a contest to make fine art productsfrom coffee trees.
Dubbed as the coffee capital of Vietnam, Dak Lak has the largest farming area of around 210,000 hectareswith an annual output of more than 520,000 tonnes. The province'scoffee has been exported to hundreds of countries and territories around theworld.

The eighth edition of the national Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival will be held in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak next year after two postponements in 2021 and 2022 due to COVID-19.
The Central Highlands province of Dak Lak – Vietnam’s largest coffee-producing region - is striving to make its capital of Buon Ma Thuot a coffee city of the world with distinctive identities.
The 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023, themed "Buon Ma Thuot - Destination of the world coffee", will take place in Buon Ma Thuot city and several other localities of the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on March 10 – 14, heard a press conference in Ho Chi Minh City on February 3.
This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The outcome shows the trust and recognition that member states have given Vietnam for its efforts and achievements in carrying out and promoting the Convention, as well as for its active role, strong standing, and growing credibility at UNESCO.
Quang Duc pottery is known for its wide range of forms, including wine bottles, jars, lime pots, vases, plant pots, incense burners and candle stands. Decorative motifs are equally rich, featuring mythical creatures, pastoral scenes, floral patterns, deer, peacocks, bats and more.
Vietnam’s cinematic appeal lies in its diverse settings, from terraced mountains and limestone karsts to bustling markets and ancient towns. Its mix of ethnic vibes, buzzing street life, and old traditions gives directors a goldmine for storytelling.
The Vietnamese team will gather on June 26 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, where they will train until July 14 before departing for Indonesia for the ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, which runs from July 15 to 29. Vietnam will face Laos on July 19 and Cambodia on July 22 in the group stage.
The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.
