First automation techmart opens in Hanoi

Hanoi (VNA) – Novel technologies and achievements in the automationsector like robot technology, smart works, environment supervision equipmentand automated machine in industrial production are being introduced at theAutomation Techmart 2017 which opened in Hanoi on August 23.

The event, the first of its kind in the country, was jointly held by theNational Agency for Science and Technology Information under the Ministry ofScience and Technology and the Vietnam Automation Association (VAA).

It opens opportunities for institutes, science-technology organisations,businesses and universities to seek partners, enlarge market, and transfertechnology, making contributions to the country’s industrialisation process.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen Quan, former Minister of Science andTechnology and VAA Chairman, affirmed that automation technology plays a vitalrole in the context of industry 4.0 as it links all technology sectors and ispresent in production, business and daily life.

Without automation technology, Vietnam cannot realise targets of the fourth industrialrevolution, Quan stressed, adding that at the mart, businesses can findadvanced technologies which are suitable for their production capacity toenhance productivity and goods’ quality to compete in the region.

Automation Techmart 2017 features 40 booths, including special ones prepared byleading automation enterprises, research institutes and the Vietnam Atomic EnergyInstitute.

A forum on science and automation technology and a conference on science tobranch out smart technology in industry 4.0 will be held during the techmart.
