First flight on Hanoi-Manila route to take off on March 31

The first direct flight linking Hanoi to the Philippines’ capital Manila will take off on March 31, aiming to promote tourist exchange between the two countries, Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced at a meeting with media in Hanoi on January 31.

Hanoi (VNA) – The first direct flight linkingHanoi to the Philippines’ capital Manila will take off on March 31, aiming topromote tourist exchange between the two countries, Philippine Airlines (PAL) announcedat a meeting with media in Hanoi on January 31.

From March 31, the airlines will operate four flights perweek on the Hanoi-Manila route on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, takingoff from Hanoi at 13:34 and landing in Manila at 17:30 the same day.

There will be four flights each week on the return leg on everyMonday, Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. They will leave Manila at 22:25 and reachHanoi at 0:45 the next day.

On the new route, PAL will focus on introducing destinationsof the Philippines as well as strong tourism potential of Vietnam, whilehighlighting the contributions of the western and eastern cultures in thearchitecture and cuisine of Hanoi.

PAL currently operates eight flights per week on theManila-Ho Chi Minh City route.-VNA
