Fisherman receives emergency care at Song Tu Tay infirmary
A fisherman from central Quang Ngai province was given emergency treatment for severe respiratory distress at the Song Tu Tay island infirmary in the island district of Truong Sa, the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on March 11, after falling ill while fishing at sea.

Khanh Hoa (VNA)⛦ – A fisherman from central Quang Ngai province was given emergency treatment for severe respiratory distress at the Song Tu Tay island infirmary in Truong Sa distrct, the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on March 11, after falling ill while fishing at sea.
The incident began on March 9, when Pham Van, a crew member aboard fishing vessel QNg 92909TS, owned by Le Thang Xin from Quang Ngai, suffered sudden breathing difficulties. The vessel was operating about 50 nautical miles north of Song Tu Tay island at that time. He later fell into a coma, experienced seizures, and showed signs of cyanosis. Despite initial medication from fellow crew members, he showed no improvement, prompting the vessel to contact Naval Region 4 for urgent help.
On the afternoon of March 10, Navy Ship 471, stationed near Da Nam island, responded swiftly, transporting Van to Song Tu Tay island for emergency care.
Doctors at the infirmary found Van semi-conscious, with cyanotic mucosa and rapid breathing. He was diagnosed with acute exacerbation of bronchial asthma, further complicated by a lung infection. Medical staff immediately provided oxygen therapy, intravenous fluids, antibiotics, and bronchodilators, closely monitoring his condition.
As of now, Van is in stable condition and continues to receive treatment on the island./.
